However, if you're not the favorite - I'm here to tell you that it won't.Īdditionally, Samba isn't staying competitive ahead of a crowded CTV space. On top of the lack of career growth, you'll find yourself helping train new sellers (did I mention that Samba is pretty bad with training already?), help with selling, or work on projects that traditionally AMs don't do. If I haven't lost you there - the last thing I'd like to mention is how much work Samba tries to get away with piling on you without recognition/pay. So while it's a mess internally, you have to try to wrap the dumpster fire as nicely as possible to clients and pretend everything's okay. It can range from given awful accounts so that you don't meet your goals (did I mention that Samba is cheap?) to most internal teams being understaffed so that it's hard to meet client expectations (again, Samba is cheap) to really half baked product roll outs that confuse more than educate. Honestly, the only people who get ahead are the favorites.Īdditionally, you're set up for failure at Samba. The review cycles don't go anywhere and the "career leveling" documents meant to guide you are murky at best.
If not, there is no opportunity for career advancement here. It doesn't matter how hard you work unless you're selected as a favorite by your manager.
